A HUGE shout out to Uncle Funky’s Board Shop! We have partnered up with Uncle Funky’s Board Shop so we can carry the full line up of Loaded Boards and Longboard Larry Boards at the Loft. Loaded Boards are one of the top longboard companies based out of the lovely California and Longboard Larry is based out of Independence, Oregon. Out of Loaded Boards line up, we have the Poke, Tan Tien, Dervish Sama, the Fat Tail, and the well known Chubby Unicorn.

Today we are going to talk about the Rotule Happy Tail. This deck had a different look to it than your normal single kick tail top mount. The Happy Tail is a dedicated freeride board that is 39.5″ in length and 9.75″ wide with wheelbase options set at 25.25″ – 25.75″. The Happy Tail is meant to go sideways and fast! The kick tail features a very comfortable feeling giving you confidence with manuals and manual slides. This deck is Rotule’s first board without composite fibers, which is why it’s affordable. Rotule claims that this board won’t warp or delam because of their epoxy and kevlar powder based formulas they use to glue the maple plies together. I won’t be the one to judge this because they make some awesome boards that are very structurally built. Come check out the Happy Tail at the loft as well as Rotule’s other boards, such as the Brainwash and the Desert Eagle!

Today we will be looking at the Lifelong Seeker decks. They come in two different styles, one with W concave and one with Tub concave.

Today we will be looking at the Lifelong Seeker decks. They come in two different styles, one with W concave and one with Tub concave. Both of the decks come at 41″ in length, 10″ in width with a 1/2″ rocker concave and 27″ to 28″ wheelbase options. They feature double kick tails with a symmetrical shape. Which means after your doing some fast freeriding you can throw down some flip tricks while waiting for some your slower buddies to get down the hill.

Lets start with the W concave, the W in this deck is continuous which means it runs through the whole standing platform. If you don’t know what W concave is… Its when there is a peak in the middle of the deck that goes through the whole standing platform or the rear of the deck. It adds more grip and confidence in the rider when throwing down some slides and gripping those hairpin turns.

Now for the Tub concave… If you don’t like the W concave but still like the style of the seeker, then this deck has your name all over it. Its exactly the same as the W concave seeker, just without the W. The Tub concave feature still locks your feet in extremely well and is a lot of fun for some fast freeriding. All in all guys, the people over at Lifelong Longboards did an awesome job on this style of a deck and we are stoked to have them in our shop. Come check them out!
